Following Gary Lightbody's success with supergroup Tired Pony, Lightbody's Snow Patrol bandmate Nathan Connolly has set up his own group of well known musicians.

Consisting of ex Idlewild bassist Gavin Fox, Dave Magee of LaFaro fame, Tired Pony's Troy Stewart and drummer Paul Brennan, who's worked with The Frames, Little Matador boast a heavier sound to that of Connolly's previous music. Support slots for the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails and Jimmy Eat World have boosted the band's profile, all whilst putting the finishing touches on their as yet untitled debut album, which gets its release next year.
